It is still a rumor but Apple may integrate Siri and Maps into the next version of Apple’s Mac operating system, OS X 10.9. According to 9to5Mac’s reports, early build of the OS has Siri voice software and a version of Maps which is very similar to the fail iOS’s version.
Apple’s last major OS release, the Mac OS X Mountain Lion, has features which is based on the iOS. These features include Notification Center, AirPlay, iMessage, Dictation, Reminders, Notes, Game Center, and iCloud. It will be good if Apple is trying to homogenize its software. Apple also stated that it will commit to a yearly update schedule. Expect more solid information on OS X 10.9 sometime early next year. It is still very early to anticipate what features they will put in it. These features may change or be removed as time passes by. It will all depend on Apple’s decision.
